Los Angeles, California (X17online) – With Harry Potter over, Emma Watson is ready to tackle another fantasy film – Beauty and the Beast. Crazy, Stupid, Love. producer Denise Di Novi told ComingSoon.net that she has lined up Watson to star in the new adaption. The upcoming flick will be directed by Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy). Watson is already working on two movies – My Week With Marilyn, out in November, and an adaption of the cult classic novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower, scheduled for 2012. Beauty would be Watson’s first leading role. Even with all these projects, Watson is still off to college. Despite reports that she dropped out of Brown University due to her busy schedule, the actress is still enrolled in the Ivy League school. However, she will head to Oxford University this fall to study English, spending her third year “studying abroad” close to home.
Now that the last cinematic chapter of the Harry Potter franchise has drawn to a close, we can start obsessing over the kids’ next projects. Daniel Radcliffe will continue to entertain Broadway crowds until his ghost story The Woman In Black reaches theaters next year. Rupert Grint recently wrapped Comrade. And Emma Watson has My Week With Marilyn, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and a brand new project that should draw a ton of heat from the film community. That.s because the former Hermione may topline a new production of Beauty and the Beast, with the great Guillermo del Toro somehow involved. ComingSoon got the scoop from producer Denise Di Novi, who was talking to press in New York City on behalf of her upcoming comedy Crazy Stupid Love and mentioned that del Toro and Watson would collaborate on an adaptation of the classic fairy tale.
It’s almost easier to name all of the projects that Guillermo del Toro isn’t involved with at this point, but now it looks like the eternally multitasking filmmaker has found yet another film to shepherd — and a high-profile young actress to star in it.
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” star Emma Watson is reportedly attached to an upcoming adaptation of the classic “Beauty and the Beast” faery tale, according to an interview with producer Denise Di Novi on ComingSoon.net. Speaking with reporters during the press junket for “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” Di Novi said she’s developing the project alongside del Toro, with Watson pegged for the lead role.
And while it certainly won’t be the first adaptation of the classic story, it could take a very different angle on the well-known tale.             Watch My Week with Marilyn Movie Online

Even a different hairstyle doesn’t change the fact that she’s known around the world as Hermione Granger, but Emma Watson has been busy with some new films to break out of that typecasting prison, and her latest project appears to be Guillermo del Toro’s take on Beauty and the Beast.
Producer Denise Di Novi recently told ComingSoon.net that Watson is set to star in del Toro’s version of the popular fairytale, although no details about the movie or Watson’s character were revealed.
Watson can currently be seen one last time on the big screen as Hermione in the box-office juggernaut, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, and she’ll be showing up again later this year in My Week with Marilyn, as well as in 2012’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which happens to be another film adaptation of a popular Ya novel.
