Plot Summary: Meet Mahmud Nasir (Omid Djalili), loving husband, doting father and something of a "relaxed" Muslim.

Does the "F" word occasionally pass his lips? It's hardly worth mentioning. Does he say his prayers five times a day? Of course! Well, usually... Does he fast every day of Ramadan? Who's counting anyway?

He may not be the most observant, but in his heart he is as Muslim as it gets. But after his mother's death a discovery turns Mahmud's world upside down. He finds his birth certificate which reveals that not only was he adopted at birth... but he's Jewish, and his real name is Solly Shimshillewitz!

As Mahmud tumbles headlong into a full scale identity crisis, the only person he can turn to is Lenny (Richard Schiff), a drunken Jewish cabbie who agrees to give him lessons in Jewishness, which start with how to dance like Topol. Oy vey.

Plot Summary: A one-of-a-kind experience that is guaranteed to shock and divide audiences, Dutch filmmaker Tom Six's twisted biological horror film, "The Human Centipede" confidently goes where few films have dared to go. In addition to its shocking imagery, the film also features an indelibly villainous performance by Dieter Laser, whose brilliant and demented Dr. Heiter is sure to soon join the ranks of Freddy, Jason and Jigsaw whenever true horror icons are discussed.

During a stopover in Germany in the middle of a carefree road trip through Europe, two American girls find themselves alone at night when their car breaks down in the woods. Searching for help they find only an isolated villa, whose mysterious owner, Dr. Heiter, takes them in for the night. The next day they awake to find themselves in the basement, trapped in a terrifying makeshift hospital with another one of the doctor's abductees. Dr Heiter explains to the three of them that he is retired surgeon who had specialized in separating Siamese twins. However his three "patients" are not about to be separated, but joined together in a horrific operation. He plans to be the first to connect people, one to the next, via their gastric system, and in doing so bring to life his sick lifetime fantasy: 'the human centipede'.

Movie : The Secret in Their Eyes
Release Date: April 16, 2010 (limited)
Studio: Sony Pictures Classics
Director: Juan José Campanella
Screenwriter: Juan José Campanella
Starring: Ricardo Darín, Soledad Villamil, Pablo Rago, Javier Godino, Guillermo Francella, José Luis Gioia, Carla Quevedo, Bárbara Palladino, Rudy Romano
Genre: Crime, Drama, Thriller
Summary: Benjamín Espósito has spent his entire working life as a criminal court employee. Recently retired and with time on his hands, he decides to write a novel. He does not decide to make up a story. There is no need to. He can draw on his own past as a civil servant for a true, moving and tragic story in which he was once very directly involved. In 1974, his court was assigned an investigation into the rape and murder of a beautiful young woman.
At the scene of the crime, Espósito sees the result of the young woman’s rape and murder first hand. He meets Ricardo Morales, who had married the girl a short time before and worshipped her body and soul. Moved by Ricardo’s grief, Espósito tries to help him find the culprit despite having to contend with the apathy and ineptitude of the police and legal system. He knows that for help he can count on Sandoval, an underling at the office yet a close friend, who occasionally seeks release from the routine of his existence by drinking himself unconscious. He can also turn to Irene, his immediate superior and secretary of the court, with whom he is secretly deeply in love, although there is no hope that she will ever love him.
The search for the murderer is anything but simple. No clues remain at the scene of the crime and Espósito must rely on guesswork and his own instincts to make any progress. Furthermore, Argentina in 1974 is not a peaceful place. It is a perfect backdrop for the violence, hate, revenge and death that rule people’s lives and fates. To this ever more hostile and dark setting, Espósito’s investigation takes him deep into a world of terrible violence. No longer an observer, he becomes an unwilling central character in a drama in which he is exposed to ever-greater danger.
But it is not only the young Espósito of 1974 who is swept along by the storm of events, for that storm also envelops the present-day Espósito, the old would-be writer, and sets him adrift. By deciding to revive and relive his memories, he has set in motion the wheels of the terrible mechanism of memory. And those memories are neither innocent, neutral nor aseptic. Espósito writes, and as he does so, relives a past that rises up before his eyes and awakens all his demons: particularly those involving his past decisions, uncertainties and irreparable mistakes.
As he moves forward, Espósito begins to see that it is now too late to stop. Telling a story from the past is no longer just a pastime to fill his empty hours. It becomes a narrow, winding path he must take if he is to understand and find justification for his own life, if he is to give any meaning to the years remaining to him, and if once and for all he is to face up to the woman who, thirty years on, he is still in love with.

Movie : Handsome Harry
Release Date: April 16, 2010 (limited)
Studio: Paladin
Director: Bette Gordon
Screenwriter: Nicholas T. Proferes
Starring: Jamey Sheridan, Steve Buscemi, Mariann Mayberry, Aidan Quinn, John Savage, Campbell Scott, Titus Welliver, Karen Young
Genre: Mystery
Summary: “Handsome Harry” is the latest film by Bette Gordon, whose 1983 feature, “Variety,” remains a signal work of the early American “indie” movement. Heading an impressive ensemble cast, Jamey Sheridan (“The Ice Storm,” “Syriana”) portrays the title role – a divorced man, alienated from his grown son, whose life is defined by a number of casual relationships but no intimate ones. A loner by choice, Harry is forced out of self-imposed exile when he is summoned to the deathbed of Tom Kelly (Steve Buscemi), an old Navy pal with one last wish: he wants Harry to seek out another old friend, Dave Kagan (Campbell Scott), and ask his forgiveness for some horrible wrong that Tom, Harry, and their other close friends committed when they were all still in the military. These men were once like Harry’s family, and Kagan was much more than that, but Harry has avoided them most of his adult life. Traveling thousands of miles–and across three decades of suppressed memories and emotions–Harry must now face each of his old buddies, and must ultimately find the courage to face Dave Kagan. Until he does, he will never be able to face himself.
Though it takes the form of a classic road movie, the true terrain covered by “Handsome Harry” is the male psyche. In a series of carefully observed, beautifully acted vignettes, the film explores what brought these men together, what drove them apart, how they betrayed one another and, worse still, how they betrayed themselves. Gordon, whose emotionally wrenching climax reveals the enormous gulf between who
Harry might have been and who he eventually became, proves that, sometimes, it takes a woman to show us what it takes to be a man.

Plot Summary: "Who Do You Love" tells the story of Leonard Chess, a Polish immigrant living in Chicago, who becomes enamored with the new blues sound emanating from the city in the mid-1940s. Chess and his brother Phil open a club called Macomba and gamble on producing "race records" with the help of bass player and songwriter Willie Dixon. After initial failure, they find tremendous success with the iconic bluesman Muddy Waters, and on the strength of his popularity, started Chess Records. Chess Records quickly grew into an influential label, launching the careers of Waters, Bo Diddley, Etta James, Chuck Berry, among others, and introducing the Blues to American audiences on a broader scale. "Who Do You Love" tracks the growth of Chess Records, but more importantly, presents a poignant look into the strains the label placed on Leonard Chess' family, namely his wife Revetta and his son Marshall.
