In a small farming community, Sarah (Hallee Hirsh), a rebellious teenage girl, struggles living with her mother, Maggie (Elaine Hendrix) and younger sister Jill (Mackenzie Rosman). One evening, she puts on an ancient necklace, unaware of the consequences, that belonged to her deceased uncle, Michael (Thomas Ian Nicholas) and sets out to meet with her friend Emily(Julia Whelan) over at the old Echling Manor, the place where her uncle Michael used to reside. Soon Emily is unexpectedly attacked by hideous zombie-like creatures while Sarah watches helplessly in sheer terror as her friend is ripped to shreds. As they turn their attention towards her, she is abruptly rescued by Jacob (Jordan Matthews), a young man armed with a deadly sword.

Jacob sets out to get Sarah home safely, as they run through streets, fields, churches and underground tunnels, while being pursued by hordes of demonic creatures. They learn that Mathias (Brad Dourif), a malevolent evil in search of the ancient necklace worn by Sarah, is responsible for all the chaos as he desperately tries to retrieve it. Sarah soon realizes that Michael was responsible for the raising of Mathias as they discover that once the necklace is in Mathias’s hands, he will be virtually unstoppable.
Michael’s own story comes into play through flashbacks when we learn how he unintentionally raised Mathias from the depths of hell and his ultimate fall from grace and into madness as we discover how all the characters are connected. Along the way home, both Sarah and Jacob come to terms with the demons inside themselves – Sarah begins to understand her hatred towards Maggie and Jill may be unjustified while Jacob discovers the secrets of his past, realizing the only way to truly defeat them is to return to the Echling Manor, the very place his family was murdered.

I watched this movie in hope i would spend a pleasant 1 hour and a half of my Sunday…i regret my decision. The effects wore poor, like the movie was made in some 3rd world country.the story is ambiguous you don’t get many details about the past of the characters, and I had the feeling that even the actors didn’t put much work into this movie. The idea however was pretty good and they could’ve made more from that if it had more work put into it  In conclusion everything is bad about this movie and I wrote this review in hope that nobody has to go trough the same 1 hour and a half of agonizing pain that i did.
