The night is over and the aftermath of the biggest event in Hollywood can begin. The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be one for the record books thanks to its slew of unprecedented wins. Kathryn Bigelow became the first woman to take home the Oscar for Best Director for her film The Hurt Locker, the Iraq drama which also earned the top prize of the night as Best Picture.
