9.20 am: Seventh round of Bihar panchayat polls continues peacefully
Large number of people turned out to cast their ballot in the seventh phase of the Bihar panchayat polls that began Monday morning amidst tight security, officials said.
Polling started at 7 a.m. and voters were queuing up at polling booths despite a boycott call by the Maoists. Bihar Police chief Neelmani said that polling was continuing peacefully with no reports of violence. More
8.45 am: Al Zawahiri next target, but Pakistan may not be told
After killing Al Qaeda leader Osama biLaden, the United States is now hunting for his deputy Ayman al Zawahiri, but it still may not tell Pakistan if he is targeted.

It would depend on 'the specifics of the operation,' White House National Security Advisor Tom Donilon told ABC Sunday when asked whether the US would inform Pakistan if it decided to target al Zawahri. Read the full story here.


8.30 am: Bin Laden had support network in Pakistan: Obama
Osama bin Laden likely had "some sort" of a support network inside Pakistan, President Barack Obama said on Sunday, but added it will take investigations by Pakistan and the United States to find out the nature of that support.
"We think there had to be some sort of support network for Bin Laden inside of Pakistan," Obama said in an excerpt of an interview with CBS's.

8.20 am: SC to hear Ram Janambhoomi-Babri-Masjid case today
The Supreme Court will hear arguments in the Ram Janambhoomi-Babri-Masjid title case in which a bunch of petitions have been filed by various Muslim and Hindu outfits, who have challenged the Allahabad High Court verdict. Read more
